Christmas Crafting Ideas

My tablescaping for my upcoming Christmas party has begun! Here are some preliminary pictures and the tools I have used for quick and inexpensive ways to update my buffet table. I will have a entire breakdown later but I was so I excited about how these turned out that I couldn't wait to share.

As I have mentioned before, I am a huge fan of the glitter collection by Martha Stewart available at Michaels. I am obsessed with all things that are glittery glam! Updating my old ornaments with my choice of glitter colors was so simple. So don't give away those old ornaments! Update them with any color you choose. See the tools I used below. Once you have coated the ornament with glue and glitter just prop the wet ornament up on a mound of unused glitter that has collected on the paper plate to prevent any markings.  You could also use a cookie sheet lined with wax or parchment paper to catch the glitter for easier cleanup. The glue and glitter can be messy so make sure you do this in a suitable area or lay down some newspaper to protect your surface. I will share the finished tablescape when it's complete!

I decided to make my own feather Christmas trees after seeing this on the Martha Stewart show. The feathers made this more messy than I had anticipated but the finished product looked great and it was SO inexpensive to make. It just requires a bit of patience :). Just line the end of the quill with some glue and press on to the form. Use the larger feathers for the bottom half of the tree. You can also top the tree for some extra sparkle.
The Before and After

All you need is a glue gun, feathers and a styrofoam form. So simple! The forms come in all sizes so pick which one make sense for you.

Post a comment below and tell me what you think!
