Scene: Nathan Turner's Store Opening Party

Last week I mentioned Nathan Turner's new store location here so I wanted to share some photos of the store so you could get a feel for his California cool and global chic style. I attended his store opening party last night which was attended by some of LA's biggest and brightest stars like Suzanne Rheinstein, Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Lulu Powers, Schuyler Samperton and Joe Lucas. I must admit I was delighted to see Vogue's European Editor at Large Hamish Bowles walk through the door. Such a fashion moment!  I had a blast with fellow designers Jennifer HallDarren RansdellVanessa De Vargas and Jordan Capella. We were also treated to a book signing of Oberto Gili's new book Home Sweet Home.  Hope you enjoy the pictures of the store and the party!

The coastal yet global blue and white vignette caught my eye

Loving these table linens

The lumbar ikat pillows on the left are under $200

These blue and white trays are affordable and a great host(ess) gift.

Obsessed with copper these days!

Thanks for a fantastic evening Nathan!

Tabletop Treasures: Nifty Napkins

I am always on the look out for colorful napkins with a pattern for holiday dinner parties and these finds do not disappoint. You can go traditional with autumn hues this Thanksgiving or shake things up with bright colors of fuchsia or navy.

These are some of my favorites from Madeline Weinrib's table linen collection.

and these are from Katherine Rally Textiles

Other colorful options to choose from include:
Ikat Napkin

Tile Napkin

Summer Salsa Napkins
You could always have napkins made in your favorite fabric but these are quick click and purchase options. Hope your holiday tablescapes are coming together!!

Retail Therapy: Harbinger LA

I have found an LA showroom that exemplifies my traditional/modern design style so vividly that I would move in if I could ... meet Harbinger LA. I mentioned this showroom yesterday here and today I wanted to share some of my favorite vignettes and fabric lines from this stylish showroom located on La Cienega in the heart of the Los Angeles Design Quarter. They recently moved from their old Almont location and now have taken over two spaces and combined them into one large fantastic showroom. As a fabric and wallpaper addict, I was swooning at the colorful fabrics and wallpapers showcased perfectly in gray blue bookcases as if they were couture gowns. As soon as I walked in I noticed the flooring and the stylish yet relaxed energy of the showroom. Just what you would want to feel when walking into your own home. I could gush forever but I will stop and let you enjoy the photos :).

Ralph Lauren Lamps as well as other fantastic lighting
Tortoise Scalloped Wall Sconce
Oak Table in custom sizes and finishes
Katie Ridder fabrics and wallpaper. Seaweed in Magenta is my fave!!!
The leather tray is amazing and reminded me of my leather riding boots and I could place the peacock blue leather ottoman in my living room in a heartbeat and it would fit perfectly. The flooring I want in my next home is in the background.

The mix of artwork was so well placed throughout the store
Italian fabric line Idarica Gazzoni carried only by Harbinger in LA
I am lusting after this coffee table

The aqua leather on these chairs was stunning in person
Would love to own these unique chairs :)

For all of you still loving chevron prints. This was a perfect shade of orange.
A lovely lucite bookcase
Canopy bed covered in Holland & Sherry cashmere fabric

Flooring in the entry of the store. It is actually a gray but the camera has made it appear golden
